Description

The shield is assembled on the basis 9 sensors for the Arduino UNO board. The module is designed to study the Arduino platform.

The following sensors are located on the board:

  • DHT11
  • LM35
  • photoresistor
  • buzzer
  • Light-emitting diode
  • potentiometer
  • IR Receiver
  • buttons

DHT11 - sensor for measuring the temperature and humidity of the environment, as digital signals. DHT11 consists of a simple ADC chip (to convert an analog signal to digital), thermistor and capacitive humidity sensors. The advantages of this sensor are: reasonable price, long service life and simultaneous measurement of two values (temperature and humidity). Due to the simplicity of the sensor, it is most often used in domestic conditions.. Relative humidity measuring range 20 – 80 %, and temperatures 0 – 50 °C. The sensor is connected via digital port D4.

Lm35 - temperature sensor, which can be used in many simple projects. The main feature of LM35 compared to DHT11, is its accurate temperature reading in the range -55 – 150 °C (measuring error approx. ± 0,5 %), the temperature sensor also has a built-in calibration system. The analog signal received from the sensor is transmitted through the analog output A2.

The piezo buzzer is connected to the Arduino board using the D5 output.. This buzzer can generate waves in the frequency range 20 Hz - 20000 Hz. The advantages of the sensor are: low power consumption and simple design, because of which it has a low cost.

There is also a photoresistor on the board.. Light sensor, which evaluates the level of illumination, with its internal resistance. It can be used in a street lighting system (when the light goes down, the lamps are activated) or in other projects. The sensor is connected via analog output A1.

IR Receiver - a miniature receiver of infrared radiation remote control. The receiver has an IR filter, which can not only detect infrared radiation, and perceive them at a frequency 38 kHz, which allows you to ignore a lot of extraneous light interference. This sensor can be used in many projects related to remote control. The sensor is connected at the output D6.

RGB LED - LED, which can be controlled by digital outputs D9 – D11. This LED emits 5 colors (red, blue, green, yellow, white).

There are two buttons on the module board., which are the simplest sensors in this assembly. They are used in almost all projects.. When the switch is closed, a signal is sent to the microcontroller, with the help of, it is possible to activate the sensors in the circuit. On this board, the buttons are connected to the outputs D2 and D3.

On the board are 3 indicators, signaling about module actions. When voltage is applied to the module board, Green SMD LED lights up, accordingly, the other two LEDs signal the process of loading the sketch (the red LED is on - the code is being loaded in the process, and the green indicator shows, that the download is complete).

For convenient connection of other sensors to Aruino, the module has pin outputs marked in yellow.

The main parameters of the sensors:

  • Measuring temperature range DHT11, °C 0 … +50 ( ±2% )
  • Relative humidity sensor DHT11, % 20 … 80 ( ±5% )
  • Measuring temperature range LM35, °C -55 … +150 ( ±0.5% )
  • Buzzer frequency range, Hz 20 … 20000
  • Frequency of available IR Receiver emissions, kHz 38
